How we work
Older houses give up their secrets slowly. We start refurbishment jobs with a walk-through and an honest conversation about what we expect to find behind the plaster and under the floors, what we want to leave alone, and where the budget should sit.
On listed and pre-1900 properties we work to conservation principles by default — lime mortar, breathable systems, original details retained where possible. Repointing is done in the right mortar for the period of the wall, not whatever is on the merchant’s shelf.
